missing...

it's so weird going out without the kids. while it's nice to have them out of my hair for a few days, i think we all needed this break from each other, i can't help but miss them. and going out without them is just plain weird. it's like a part of me is missing. like i left my hand at home or i forgot to bring along a few of my fingers. lol i can't explain it. i just feel incomplete without them. and i miss them very much. i am enjoying my alone time though, don't get me wrong. i got to sleep till noon the other day. that was AWESOME. but there's nobody around to pick on or nothing at all for me to do, besides clean up and who wants to do that?? lol i can't believe i'm gonna say this, but i can't wait till next week, when everything is back to normal. i miss our hectic morning routine. i miss our hectic afternoon routine. i miss cooking them dinner. i miss homework. i miss them fighting over the remote. i miss sophia's attitude problem. not really. lol i miss ernie's whiney sensitive self. and marley misses them too. she'll go up to their doors and wander around the house looking for them and then she'll start to cry. poor marley. i know how she feels. =( i also miss having sophia around for when my hubby says something retarded so we can roll our eyes and laugh at him together. that's always fun. LOL

Christmas 2010

One of the best Christmas' EVER.  We usually go to my mom/sisters, but since I've got kids now, it's not the same for me. I need to start my own traditions for my children. We had it here this year, and it was awesome. Me and the kids spent all day thursday cooking and baking and making memories. My brother came over friday  and my mom got here early saturday. My dressing was a hit! My cake was a hit! Everything was so nice. Took lots of pics with my itty bitty canon! and even a lil video of the kids on Christmas Eve!

can someone tell me why i get more joy out of a little bitty cheap point and shoot camera than i do out of my very expensive dslr?  i mean, seriously? gah. my hubby got me the little canon i wanted, and i love it! it's so teeny tiny! i'm afraid i'mma lose it, but i still love it anyway! here are a few shots i got after the battery finally charged up! just a typical sunday over here. the kids and me cleaning and hubby watching football.

 









 



 

 

 

quick update...

ernie had a birthday this week. on monday he turned SIX! i can't believe it. they're growing up so fast! birthday person gets to choose what we're having for dinner at our house and birthday boy chose fish sticks! lol we had a nice little dinner and he got plenty of gifts from all of us. lots of toys! and then CAKE! yay! gotta love cake! nothing fancy. we're planning on having something bigger for the rest of the family soonish.





that's about all that's been going on. this is the kids last week of school before the winter break. i'll have them home for TWO whole weeks. god help me. i haven't even started christmas shopping!! gah. and we're hosting christmas at my house this year!!! omg. i need to plan a menu and .... so much to do still! procrastinate much? lol  it should make the holiday that much more fun! ha. that's about all i have for ya today! till next time!

i love Glee. It's not for everybody, I get that. It's kinda cheesy and corny and well, stupid sometimes! lol but it's fun to watch! I love Sue Sylvester! She's hilarious, always cracks me up! Anyway, here's a video of my fav performance on tonight's episode of Glee! <3 enjoy!

hair!

I'm itching to do something different with my hair! I have been for a while now. Only thing is, I don't and won't go short! I made the mistake of cutting my all my hair off  last year for my 35th birthday and I'll NEVER do that again! Heck no! I'm thinking long layers with some side swept bangs would be a good look with some light brown hair and highlights! My hair is all one length, long and black. *yawn* boring! The only reason it's black is because of all the gray I've got going on, it's just easier to maintain, but man, I wanna change it up sooo bad! Here is an idea of the color and cut I wanna do. Whatcha think? I think it would look pretty good on me with my full round face, and my husband approves! He always groans when I say I want to cut my hair or cut some bangs. Like it's his hair I'm cutting. o_O

saturday bullets

i don't really have much to blog about, but i decided i wanted to try to blog everyday for the month of december. so i guess i'll do a daily bullets kinda thing for today. everybody loves bullets!

• i got to sleep till NOON today!! uninterrupted! WHAT? i know. amaze balls. loved every second of it too. thanks to my kick ass kids and my kick ass hubby!!


• my almost 3 month old niece turned over on her own and she's trying to sit up already. i bet she walks at or around 9 months like i did! =)


• i made lemon bars last night and they are pretty much gone already! they were yummy!


• i got an invite to go out last night, but ignored it and opted to stay in bed and catch up on Grey's instead. best.decision.ever.


• i'm in love with my eos lip balm in lemon drop. my lips are so soft and it tastes so goood.


• can't wait for football sunday tomorrow! Go Cowboys!


• gonna try a new recipe for rice. i can't stand the way my rice tastes anymore. i need something new. am excited about the outcome. if it's good, i'll share recipe with y'all! if not, then just pretend this bullet never existed. =P

dear santa,

it's that time of the year again! normally i would be all 'oh don't worry about getting me anything, just get the kids what they want!', but man! i wanna open presents on christmas day too!! so here's a little list of things i'll be asking santa aka my husband for!

I need a new point and shoot. i'm tired of having to lug around my big ol' dslr! also, i just wanna be able to whip my camera outta my handbag anywhere and not have to say WAIT! let me make sure all the settings are correct! let me adjust the fstop! the iso! blah blah blah. i just wanna take a picture, man! SANTA!! please get me this! =)

i need a new pair of boots. especially some cute, casual ones to wear with jeggings/leggings! i like these because they're flat and that's always a good thing! plus, they're cute! i love that little buckle detail in the back!



i'm a perfume whore. and i need this for my collection. it smells like lilac in the bottle, and i love the way lilacs smell, but on my skin it smells like grape. and well, i love the way grapes smell too. and the bottle is so purty! i just really want it, santa!!



I saw this jacket on someones blog and ever since that day, i've been dreaming of my very own pink jacket. how cute is that?? i mean seriously! look at it! it's sooo purty! i need this jacket in my life!!

also could i get an ipad, a new iphone 4, a new 60 in television, a new tahoe and maybe a whole lotta cash!?! thanks, santa!

i guess that's all i really want. i could go on for days about all the makeup i want, but i surely don't need any.

LOL such a long blog name. and i'm no good at picking out names either. nonetheless, i needed a blog. i have SO much to blog about yet, nowhere to do it.  i missed it. of course i won't share the super personal stuff, that will remain on the facebook group for my friends! don't you love that new fb feature?? me toooo!



so, here we are in DECEMBER! can you believe that? 2010 flew by. it's been a memorable year, that's for damn sure. I had so much fun this year, i ain't gonna lie. MEMORIES, MEMORIES, MEMORIES!!!! the kids are growing so fast. we had to go buy sophia a whole new wardrobe the other day because the clothes we bought her at the beginning of the school year didn't fit her anymore, she had a major growth spurt in the last few months. my goodness!! ernie is still wearing a 5T though! he's so little, but oh so smart! he started kindergarten this year and he's such a bright kid! love it! everything has been ok around these parts, we have our moments though, i can't lie. well, i should say, i have my moments. those moments where i wish the circus was in town so i could run away with them! i've spent a few sunday afternoons locked in my bedroom crying or just avoiding everyone and everything a few times, but nothing too serious. one thing is for damn sure, we are certainly blessed.

halloween '10

we have some new members in our family!! let's start with my beautiful niece, Santina Rose. She was born on Sept. 7th and omg you guys, I can't even begin to express how much I LOVE her!! she's so freakin' beautiful and such a happy baby! she's always smiling or always has a lil smirk on her face, you can't help buy love her! I'm such a proud tia! (aunt) i miss her everyday. my brother was living here for the majority of the year, they just moved out shortly after santina was born. =(





and then a few months ago we there was a little someone hanging out in our back patio. she was just lurking around and looked pretty scared and hungry so i fed her and gave her some water. the next day she was still there and sophia beggggged to keep her. we went around the neighborhood asking if anyone was missing a dog, but no one seemed to have ever seen her before. she's now part of our lil family and we all love her. she's the sweetest most gentle dog i've ever seen in my life. she's soooo nice. not like my roxy who is soooo mean. lol we love our little smelly smelly marshmelly!



thanksgiving was at my sister's this year. i actually had a really great time. everybody was on their best behavior and it was nice.  of course it wouldn't be a holiday without some sort of family drama. it's not worth discussing on here, i'll just say that some people are just so UGH. and you know how i do, when you piss me off, you're cut off.  drama drama drama. and that's just last weeks drama. wait till i tell y'all what happened a few weeks ago with my dad and one of my cousins! OMG. i'm still livid about that non sense. i'm so glad i live 2 hours away from everything and everybody. it helps serve as a buffer from all that family politics, ya know?
